Erin Witmer, LCSW
I enjoy helping individuals to feel empowered and utilize the tools they need to live their best life!
I have been working in the mental health field since 2013. I am licensed through the state of Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Administration of Justice from Penn State University. I obtained my Masters of Social Work degree from Temple University.
I started my career working as a mentor/advocate for children and adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system and children and youth services. From there, I worked as a counselor at an all-female drug and alcohol inpatient rehab facility. I went on to work for several years as a counselor at an outpatient mental health facility working with children, adolescents, and adults. I currently work full-time as a trauma therapist at a sexual assault center.
I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress management, grief/loss, and trauma. I have the capability of working with individuals of all ages: children, adolescents, and adults. I utilize modalities involving MI, CBT, TFBT, EMDR, play-therapy techniques, and/or creative art techniques.
My main goal as a therapist is to be client-centered by meeting the client wherever they are at emotionally, while also providing them with the tools needed to help them feel empowered and capable of achieving their goals. Let me help you take the first step towards a better you!
