Tom Adil, LPC

Whatever path you are on, sometimes it helps to have a little light shed on your life, especially when things seem dark. Knowing that someone is willing to travel right alongside you and listen deeply as they get to know your story is central to good therapy. Seeing that someone is consistently present, listening to you without judgement, is often what allows you to mobilize critical resources from which you may unknowingly have been disconnected. That you can live the best life possible from today forward...this is my goal for your therapy.

My myriad of counseling experiences have included inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings for individuals, couples, and groups. I have enjoyed working with families, the LGBTQ+ community, adolescents, and adults.

I use a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive therapy (CBT), dialectical therapy and skill building (DBT), therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), as well as integrative and holistic therapies including Art Therapy and body-oriented work. I integrate mindfulness skills into many of the above evidence-based approaches.

I often employ a combination of strategies to help people deal with anxiety, depression, communication barriers, and personal breakdowns - the things which have led many to experience undue suffering. I find that often when someone engages in the act of sharing their story with a good listener, the ability to regain some meaning from within their pain helps them to alleviate their suffering and potentially attain deep growth.

Wishing you peace for your journey!
